We had four outings Christmas 2025.
Thursday 11th December 2025 – we went to Mountview to sing to their residents, and afterwards for Christmas dinner


Sunday 7th December 2025 – we sang at the Clarendon Park Christmas Fair

Thursday 4th December 2025 – we went to the Lodge in Thurnby to sing to their residents

Saturday 29th November 2025 – we went to Aigburth care home to sing at their Christmas Fair – no photo!
Thursday 26th June 2025 – and we went into Mountview Care Home, Rothley to sing our summer programme to the residents. Afterwards we went for lunch together.

Friday 20th June 2025 – saw us at the Friends Meeting House entertaining our friends and family with our Midsummer Music. We were joined for this by Canora, a Ceilidh Trio; the accordianist is our very own Honora.


Saturday 17th May 2025 – Ten of us made our way to Ruddington for their Big Sing, and enjoyed a day singing with 160 other singers, and a choice of two workshops.


Thursday 12th December 2024 – we finished the term with a sing at Thurnby and Bushby’s Community Cafe and afterwards at the Rose and Crown for our Christmas outing.



Thursday 5th December 2024 – we went out to Rothley to Mountview Care Home and entertained the residents with some Christmas Carols and songs.

Sunday 1st December 2024 – We sang at Clarendon Park’s Christmas Fair. Fortunately the rain held off!


Saturday 30th November 2024 – We sang at Aigburth Care Home’s Christmas Fair a range of carols and festive songs.

Thursday 29th August 2024 – We came together with two of Jane’s other groups, Red Leicester Choir and Sing to Breathe Easy for an afternoon of Singing and Cake to celebrate Jane’s 60th birthday (and also that Jane was on two feet again!)


Thursday 19th July 2024 – We sang at Mountview Care Home and then went out for our end of term celebration. Honora was conducting as Jane was in a wheelchair. Big thanks to Honora for taking care of the choir this half term while Jane was out of action.

Our first public sing for nearly two years. We had a great time singing at Eyres Monsell Christmas Fair. We chose to sing outdoors so it was cold and thankfully dry, but it was so good to be singing in the community again. Well done everyone!

Thursday 17th December 2020 – our last Zoom meeting this year!

Thursday 9th April 2020 – While we can’t meet together to sing due to Covid-19, we have been meeting by Zoom.

Thursday 30th January 2020 – Sing4Syria
We joined another 2 choirs and some musicians for an evening of music organised by the University of Leicester UNICEF On Campus Society to raise funds for their work with Syrian children who have been affected by the war in Syria. £650 was raised for this worthwhile cause. Here we are at the end of our set.


Monday 16th December 2019 – we joined with the Parkinson’s Sing! Choir at St Wilfred’s, Kibworth Beauchamp for the Community Carols Service. They held a collection in aid of Parkinson’s UK which collected £271.



Sunday 15th December 2019 – we joined with the Parkinson’s Sing! Choir and Ratby Band at St Stephen’s Church, De Montfort Road for their Candlelit Christmas Carol Service in aid of Parkinson’s UK and sang 6 carols and Christmas songs. £150 was donated to Parkinson’s UK.


Friday 6th December 2019 – Some of us sang for the Age Concern Lunch organised by DMU Square Mile, food provided by Perfectly Edible.


Wednesday 11th September 2019 – We took part in the BBC Sounds of Praise’s Nation’s Favourite Hymn at De Montfort Hall. Look for us on BBC1 on September 29th 2019!




Thursday 25th July 2019 – We went out for our end of term social after singing

Sunday 14th April 2019 – Some of us took part in the Community Choirs’ Festival at Stratford. We sang Haere Mai

Sunday 3rd March 2019 – Some of us were involved in Big Difference and Shared Space and Light’s production of “Always and Always Facing Toward the Light”, the story of Alice Hawkins, Leicester Suffragette and women’s rights activist. June 20th 2015 – we were invited to participate in an NGS day with singing, gardens, tea and cake at Wymeswold. We did a couple of “Party Pieces” and joined in an impromptu sing. We had a great day and not even the rain could dampen our spirits. Thank to Steve for inviting us
